Description

Originally designed to address dental disease which is now seen in two-thirds of domestic cats over three years of age, this formula may also be supportive of a range of Upper Burner heat disorders. While oral hygiene and genetics are major factors of dental disease, a contributing disorder known as Stomach Fire causes the energy of the Stomach to flow upward (instead of downward—its usual course). Considered an excess heat, Stomach Fire can result in mouth inflammation, gastritis and regurgitation, and even mental disturbances.

Rehmannia cools and nourishes the Blood; Anemarrhena and Coptis clear Heat and Fire; induces saliva. Chamomile reduces inflammation and addresses stress. Platycodon supports proper Lung function and raises actions of other herbs to Upper Burner. American Ginseng nourishes Blood and Yin; benefits overall Qi.  Poria and Licorice support digestion; Salvia’s cooling and circulating properties clear Heat and calms restlessness. Alisma is included to regulate fluids in the body and Cordyceps completes the formula to protect Kidney health.

Each bottle is 30 ml or 1 fl oz. The recommended maintenance dose is one drop per pound daily, given once a day. A therapeutic dose is usually twice that, with a dose in the morning and a dose in the evening. The are approximately 600 drops in a 30 ml bottle. For an average 10 pound cat, at the maintenance dose, a bottle can last 6-8 weeks.
