While oral hygiene and genetics are major factors of dental disease, a contributing disorder known as Stomach Fire causes the energy of the Stomach to flow upward (instead of downward—its usual course). Considered an excess heat, Stomach Fire can result in mouth inflammation, gastritis and regurgitation, and even mental disturbances.
Rehmannia cools and nourishes the Blood; Anemarrhena and Coptis clear Heat and Fire; induces saliva. Chamomile reduces inflammation and addresses stress.
